WMV workflow in Premiere-Convert WMV to MPEG-2 for using within Premiere Pro CC/CS6/CS5 easily

When you import WMV to Adobe Premiere Pro on Mac, you may get disappointed- as Premiere Pro does not natively support WMV import on the Mac, just does on Windows. In my case, I always convert those files, prior to Import. Below are the tips for editing WMV files in Premiere Pro on Mac OS X.

To make WMV files editable in Premiere, we need to get a WMV converter and transcode .wmv files to MPEG-2, which will save us both time and trouble, then all we need is to drag the result videos for prompt editing. To achieve the goal, we need to get some help from third-party software.

Actually, there are many conversion utilities can help your finish your task. Among them, Brorsoft Video Converter for Mac is highly recommended to help you to transcode WMV to Adobe Premiere Pro editable format while keeping the original video quality. Besides, this video converter also supports converting WMV to ProRes, DNxHD, Apple InterMediate Codec for FCP, Avid MC, FCE, iMovie, etc.
